Every game here was built for this site. There is no third-party catalogue behind the listing and nothing is embedded from elsewhere, which is why the list is short and why we can document each game’s exact scoring rules on its page.
The filters describe mechanics rather than themes. A game tagged endless has no finish line; one tagged time-based runs on a clock; one tagged high-score keeps a personal best in your browser. Several games carry more than one tag because they genuinely belong in more than one place.
If you are not sure where to start, the beginner’s guide suggests an order, and this comparison matches each game to the situation it suits.
Six, all built for Basketball Arcade. Every one is playable in the browser with no download and no account. We would rather host a small number of games we can stand behind than a long list we have not played.
They describe how a game plays rather than what it looks like. "Shooting" games are about judging a release; "endless" games have no finish line; "time-based" games run on a clock; "high-score" games record a personal best locally.
An editorial ordering — our own view of which games are the best starting points. It is not a visit count, and we do not present it as one.
