Score as many points as you can in 60 seconds. You control both the release angle and the power of every shot, and the rim relocates after each attempt.
Basketball Shooting Challenge is the most hands-on game on the site. Nothing is automated: you choose the release angle, you choose the power, and you have sixty seconds to find out how good your judgement is.
Drag from the shooter in the direction you want the ball to travel. The direction of the drag sets the angle, the length sets the power, and a dotted preview updates live so you can see the shot before you commit to it. Release, and the physics takes over.
The rim does not stay still. After every attempt it moves to a new distance and height, and as your streak grows it starts moving further out and the opening narrows. That is deliberate — it means no single memorised input ever keeps working, and the skill you are actually building is reading distance.
Shots taken from deep are worth three points instead of two, and any shot that goes through without touching the rim earns an extra point on top. Combined with the streak multiplier, a clean run compounds quickly.
worth two points or three. That is a direct readout of how far away it is.

hitting the back rim flat means your arc was too low.
comfortable pace.
Keyboard players use the arrow keys instead: up and down change the angle, left and right change the power, and Space shoots.
Every game on this site is also fully playable with the keyboard alone — the on-screen buttons are reachable with Tab and work with Enter or Space. The full reference is in the controls guide.
| Event | Points |
|---|---|
| Basket from close range | 2 × multiplier |
| Basket from deep | 3 × multiplier |
| Shot that never touched the rim | +1 on top |
| Streak multiplier | x1, rising one step every 3 consecutive makes, capped at x4 |
| Missed shot | Streak resets to zero |
The multiplier is where the points are. At x4, a deep swish is worth thirteen points; the same shot cold is worth four. Protecting a streak is almost always worth more than taking a risky shot.
Pick a steep angle and leave it there. Somewhere between 50 and 60 degrees. With two variables in play, a miss could be either one — fixing the angle makes every miss attributable to power.
Read the two-or-three marker before you touch the controls. Aiming and then noticing you are shooting from deep is how over-powered shots happen.
Use the backboard on purpose. It is a real collision surface, so a slightly long shot can bank in. Aiming at the board is a genuinely wider target than aiming at the rim.
Protect a high streak. At x4 the value of every shot is at its peak, which is exactly when a risky one costs most.
After a miss, take one deliberately slow shot. It costs about a second and it stops the miss becoming three.
Do not restart a bad opening. Sixty seconds is long, multipliers rebuild fast, and restart-spamming only ever trains the first ten seconds.
The longer version is in how to improve your arcade shooting accuracy.
Drag from the shooter in the direction you want the ball to go. The direction sets the release angle and the distance of the drag sets the power. A dotted line previews the shot while you aim. On a keyboard, use the up and down arrows for angle and left and right for power, then press Space.
It relocates after every attempt, and moves further out as your streak grows. This stops a single memorised input from working forever and makes distance judgement the actual skill being tested.
One extra point, added after the multiplier is applied. A shot that touches the rim on the way in still counts as a make but does not earn the bonus.
Sixty seconds, which is roughly twenty to thirty attempts at a comfortable pace.
Yes. Drag aiming works with a finger, and there are on-screen buttons for shooting and adjusting the angle. Landscape is more comfortable because the court is wider.

The flight path is drawn for you before every shot. The hoop is what makes it hard — it drifts, then it drifts faster.
